Upgrade email accounts to full Hive accounts. Community members pay ~$0.60 to sponsor newcomers.

🆕 Getting Sponsored​

Requirements:

  • Email account on Skatehive
  • Active participation (posts, comments)

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Account
  2. Click Upgrade to Hive Account
  3. Click Request Sponsorship
  4. Share your link in Discord #sponsorship
  5. Wait for approval (usually < 24hrs)

What you get:

  • ✅ Own Hive account (not shared @skateuser)

🎯 Sponsoring Others​

Requirements:

  • Active Hive account
  • 3 HIVE in wallet (~$0.60)
  • Hive Keychain installed

Steps:

  1. Someone shares sponsorship link with you
  2. Click link → review request
  3. Choose payment method:
    • Direct: Transfer 3 HIVE (simple)
    • RC Delegation: Use Hive Power (advanced)
  4. Approve in Keychain
  5. Done! Account created in 24hrs

Cost breakdown:

Account creation fee:  2.5 HIVE
Initial power-up:      0.5 HIVE
Total:                 3.0 HIVE (~$0.60)

You get:
